What to Expect: On Your Lot
Continuing our What to Expect video series, this time we are focusing on Building On Your Lot. At Wayne Homes, we do custom, on your lot building. There are many benefits to building a custom home on the site of your choice, compared with building in a subdivision or buying an existing home. But these benefits come with different challenges. Fortunately, we can help with all of them. From siting your home to maximize views and privacy to coordinating the installation of power, water and septic systems.
As a custom, on your lot home builder, we build on land our customers have already purchased. Because we don’t own the land, our customers need to get the permits and utilities set up for their lot. The permit application process can vary from state to state and county to county, so it’s very important to do your research and be sure you have all your ducks in a row before construction. That may sound intimidating, but there’s nothing to be afraid of! Our helpful Production Administrators are there to walk you through the whole process.
In our On Your Lot video, Regional Sales Directors Erin and Hilary discuss the permitting process as well as the basics of a construction loan. Did you know that Wayne Homes partners with Home Savings Bank and can get you pre-approved over the phone in just a few minutes? If you furnish some key information, we can get you approved while you are meeting with your New Home Consultant. Since a construction loan is different from a regular home loan, it’s important to talk with a specialist. Our Production Administrators are always here to help with any questions you have about both pulling permits and financing.
