Before and After: The Alexandria Model Home
Everyone loves a good “before and after,” and we’re here to show you the Alexandria’s!
The Alexandria is a beautiful floor plan, with lots of room for you and your family. It has 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a 2-car garage, and features 2,386 square feet of living space. Wayne Homes recently made some updates to the Alexandria Tradition model home located at our Ashland Model Home Center to keep this family home looking stylish and current. It is a great example of what’s possible when you partner with our Design Team to make your interior selections.

Foyer/Den: This beautifully designed space was enhanced by the designer’s additions of a southwestern-style rug in the foyer that picks up the deep colors of the accent wall and also the dramatic X-shape wood beams. New window treatments finish out the space. To help reflect more natural light, mirrors were added in the den and dining room, making the space feel larger. The deep-sea helmet featured in the den is a customer favorite that receives many compliments.
Great Room: The design team brought this open-plan great room together by creating room separation with furniture layout and placement. The designer said, “The goal was to create warmth and a pop of color in that space with the bohemian-style rug and clay-colored leather sofa.” Mission accomplished!
Kitchen: The fresh, timeless kitchen features Glyn Birch Stone Gray painted cabinets with a Greyhound painted island. The farmhouse kitchen table provides more seating in addition to the eat ledge island. The quartz Rococo countertops are classic and neutral, letting the accessories highlight the space. Kichler Raffiana pendants at the island and sink add to the warm and natural decor.
Owner Suite: Designed as a relaxing hideaway, the owner suite is soothing and stylish. The shiplap headboard matches the shiplap style in the accent wall. Warm greys and creams in the bedding match the Balanced Beige wall paint. Simple yet classic window treatments highlight the height of the windows. Mirrors were again added in this room to enlarge the space and make it light and airy. The stately poster bed frame provides a unique focal point for the space, creating a sense of grandeur.
