When you build a new home with Wayne Homes, you’ll meet with a Customer Consultant who can help you make sense of a seemingly limitless selection of options for flooring, counters, cabinets, windows, fixtures, appliances, doors, exterior design elements and even paint colors. Your Customer Consultant can help you mix and match elements to create the perfect look for your new home (and right on budget).

We recently sat down with Customer Consultant Heidi Zeigler from our Bowling Green office and asked her about how the personal design consulting process works.

Q: Heidi, how do you help Wayne Homes customers through the process of designing their custom home?

A: “We personalize the process. We find out what the customer is looking for, starting with their Personal Value List, and really get to know them. Then we can get creative, suggesting some things they might not have considered.”

Q: How do you help customers visualize how their home will look?

A: “We have all the samples in the Design Center so we show customers how it’s all going to look together. They can say ‘I want that’ and we make it easy for them. But our suppliers have other options, too, and we can contact them directly to accommodate specific requests. I can’t think of a single time when someone asked for something that we couldn’t get.”

Q: How does a Customer Consultant help during the build process?

A: “We have what-happens-next down to a science to create a smooth transition for our customers at each stage of the process. We review the customer’s Personal Value List with their New Home Consultant before the color meeting to clearly understand what’s most important. We’re also in contact with the Field Manager prior to construction. This helps our customers feel confident that their home will be built just as they imagine it.”
