Tour the New and Improved Alexandria

Change is good. And, as any homeowner knows, sometimes you have to switch things up to keep your home looking fresh.

That’s exactly what we did with our Alexandria model home at our Ashland location. The new and improved Alexandria model home features the Tradition exterior, which we added stone accents to. We also made some interior improvements to take the decor up a notch.

Interior improvements of the Alexandria model home at Ashland include:

• Updated interior furnishings–modern farmhouse style with a few boho accents
• Fireplace with drystack stone face, barn beam mantle, and horizontal trim shiplap treatment above
• Unique trim detail added in great room, owner suite, and den accent walls
• Barn beam treatments in foyer ceiling
• Box beam added to the cathedral ceiling in the sunroom
• Glyn Birch Stone Gray painted kitchen cabinets with a Greyhound painted island
• Quartz Kitchen countertops with tile backsplash
• Cultured marble owner bath and main bath countertops
• PureStyle Tilden White cabinets in the laundry room along with floating shelves
• Included Luxury Vinyl Floor throughout main living area
• New on-trend light fixtures from Kichler Lighting

Overall, the design updates were all geared towards creating a light and bright home with clean lines. The fun architectural details we added really make the Alexandria model home stand out. During the Grand Reopening of our Alexandria model home, visitors loved the barn beam “X” treatment in the foyer ceiling. This added rustic style and that farmhouse feel to the home.

The design team at Wayne Homes also added many unique trim style ideas throughout the home, including:

• Trim pieces applied to the den wall in a square pattern and then painted a deep, rich Peppercorn color by Sherwin Williams.
• Trim running horizontally across the entire back wall of the Great Room. Same treatment was done in owner suite, matching the headboard, which gave the whole room a fresh, updated feel.
