2018 Not-So-Random Acts of Kindness: Year in Review
Looking back on 2018, we are proud to say our Not-So-Random Acts of Kindness have helped 14 non-profits, both local and nationwide. We call it our Not-So-Random Acts of Kindness Program because, well, we plan to make a difference every year. It’s our way of showing that every Wayne home has a heart. In 2018, we donated $150 for every home sold, totaling $12,000!
Eighty families participated in our 2018 program and helped us donate to the following charities:
- Wounded Warrior Project
- Medina County SPCA
- Akron Children’s Hospital Foundation
- St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital
- Lawrence County Humane Society
- The Homeless Families Foundation
- American Cancer Society
- Webark Estates, Inc.
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio
- Make-A-Wish
- Bridge Home Health and Hospice
- Central Westmoreland Habitat for Humanity
- Animal Rescue League of Western PA
- Humane Society of Livingston County
Over the years we’ve raised tens of thousands for a variety of non-profits through this and other programs. We always encourage our staff to get involved by volunteering, donating and creating awareness for charities they believe in. Giving back is a big part of our culture here at Wayne Homes.
It’s our belief that when well-meaning people work together, we can accomplish great things. And there is no greater joy than a random (or not-so-random) act of kindness. Thank you to all the families who participated in 2018’s Not-So-Random Acts of Kindness Program and we look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together in 2019.
