Wayne Homes Partners with Toys for Tots for 2023
At Wayne Homes, we believe every child deserves to have the happiest of holidays, and that’s why we’ve chosen to partner once again with Toys for Tots.
It is better to give than to receive, and this season, Wayne Homes is ready to share that spirit with some very deserving children. One of our company hallmarks is giving back to the communities we serve. And who better to give to during the holidays than children? There’s simply no better way to see the holidays than through the wonder of a child’s eyes. At Wayne Homes, we believe every child deserves to have the happiest of holidays, and that’s why we’ve chosen to partner once again with Toys for Tots.
Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brain child of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks. Actually, it was his wife, Diane, who was the real inspiration. She had a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need. Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million children annually.
Last year, Wayne Homes raised more than $11,000 for local kids through the toy drive and fundraiser.
Wayne Homes’ Culture Crew is the team responsible for coordinating our fundraising. Right now we are collecting monetary donations, as well as donations of new, unopened toys for Toys for Tots.

Remember, each of our Model Home Centers serves as a drop-off site for donations to support Toys for Tots.
From now until December 5th, 2023, customers can stop by one of our Model Home Sales Centers to donate unwrapped toys in their original packaging for Toys for Tots. We love seeing all of your friendly faces and getting to catch up with our Wayne family.
