In-Person Open Houses Are Back!
In-person Open Houses are back for the first time since 2020! The pandemic restricted our ability to host open house events, and everything went virtual, but we’re back and it feels so good. An in-person Open House really does make such a difference. We know our virtual open houses are an extremely helpful tool, but there really isn’t anything that beats seeing a Wayne home in person.
What Is a Wayne Homes Open House Like?
An under-construction open house is typically held during the stage of construction just before flooring is installed. Most items are completed in the home, such as cabinetry, countertops, painting, electrical/light fixture installation, and more. Keep in mind that the home is still under construction, so it’s not fully complete, but it will give you a great idea of what to expect.
What Can I Expect At a Wayne Open House?
Open houses are the perfect opportunity to walk through a home to get a sense of the layout of a particular floor plan.
Our physical model homes and virtual tours are amazing resources, and the under-construction open houses are another resource to help in deciding on the right floor plan and design style for your new home. When there isn’t a physical model home of a floor plan to walk through, being able to attend an open house to walk through a floor plan you’re considering can really help in the decision process. Plus, it’s fun! You get to talk with members of the Wayne Homes team, and get all your questions answered and learn more about:
- The floor plan and layout options
- Customizations the homeowners made
- Design selections shown in the home
- Wayne Homes, our homes/floor plans, our process, financing, and more.
Why Should I Attend a Wayne Open House?
Our goal is to feature a variety of floor plans in a variety of locations for our open houses. Some people will travel several hours to be able to walk through a floor plan they’re particularly interested in, and we want to provide those opportunities! We know the value of seeing the home you’ve been dreaming of in person. It just makes it all click.
How Do I Find Out About Open Houses?
Upcoming open house events will be posted to this page on our website and will be featured on social media. If you sign up for our mailing list, you’ll also be notified about upcoming events. Our team members can let you know about upcoming open houses, too.
Are the Homeowners There During the Open House?
When selecting homes to feature at an open house, we prioritize new floor plans. One example of this was our recent open house of the Springfield at the end of March. The Springfield is one of our barndominium-inspired floor plans that so many were very excited to see in person.
The homeowner, Kaitlyn, shared this about their experience of having an open house hosted at their home:
“It was honestly so fun. We did not expect to see so many people show up to our house. We popped in for an hour or so to see how it was going and it was a blast to talk to people who were genuinely curious about the build and our experience. Especially since our plan didn’t have a garage people were excited to see it with one. We talked to a few people about what to expect for gas and well hookup if they were building locally. Even one person mentioned wanting to move to our town so we talked about available land down the street. It was a great way to connect with others and help them see what their own future home could look like. Everyone was super respectful and it was an exciting time.” To see more of their home-building journey, check out Kaitlyn’s Instagram account.
Whether you are just getting ideas, or you have a specific home in mind, attending an in-person Wayne Open House is a great way to get inspired for your new home building journey.
