UNIONTOWN, OH — Goodbyes are always bittersweet, and last week, we had the honor of celebrating the retirement of Maurie Jones, our Senior Vice President of Marketing, after an incredible 37 years with Wayne Homes.
Maurie’s journey with us began at our Bowling Green office, and she later moved to the Home Office, where she took on a leadership role overseeing marketing and the design of our model homes. Throughout her distinguished career, Maurie played
a pivotal role in helping Wayne Homes transition to a focus on customization, shaping how we present ourselves to our customers. She was also instrumental in the creation of our website, social media platforms, and online design tools—innovations that have become an indispensable part of Wayne Homes’ success today.
Maurie’s influence goes far beyond her professional accomplishments. Her infectious spirit, genuine warmth, and unforgettable laugh have left a lasting impression on everyone who has worked with her. She has impacted the company in countless ways, both personally and professionally, and her contributions have been key to our growth and success over the past 37 years. As we celebrate 50 years of Wayne Homes, we know that Maurie’s legacy will continue to resonate within the company for years to come.
Although we’re saying goodbye, we know that Maurie will always be a part of the fabric of Wayne Homes. As she embarks on this well-deserved retirement, we’re excited for the adventures ahead for Maurie and her family. We hope she enjoys all the time she’ll spend with her pups, her loved ones, and exploring new interests.
