Custom home builder Wayne Homes has announced that VP of Construction George Murphy has been named as company President, succeeding David Logsdon.
Uniontown, OH – Wayne Homes has announced that VP of Construction George Murphy has been named the company’s new President, succeeding current President and CEO David Logsdon. According to Logsdon, who will remain as CEO, the appointment marks an important step in the company’s planned succession strategy.

Murphy championed the company’s National Housing Quality award, the industry’s highest prize for quality. The company has also received the Builder Partnerships Achievement Award for exceptional customer service and received the Golden Hammer Award for the last three consecutive years. Vice President of Marketing Maurie Jones credits Murphy’s leadership as a key factor in the company’s success.

Murphy began his homebuilding career 20 years ago as a custom home builder and later worked as a Regional Director for T.K. Constructors. Murphy joined Wayne Homes in 2003 as President of the Louisville Division and was promoted to VP of Construction in 2005.
