Annual Wayne Custom Showcase: The Results
One of the services that we are most proud to provide as a homebuilder is the high level of customization offered to our homebuyers. Although we have 40 floorplans to choose from, you can customize these layouts as much or as little as you want…the sky’s the limit! Whatever you can dream up, Wayne Homes can make it a reality.
The Annual Wayne Custom Showcase
To celebrate our homeowners’ creativity, we started The Annual Wayne Custom Showcase. This contest invites all Wayne homeowners to show us the customizations they’ve done to enhance their homes. From floorplan changes to upgraded finishes, each Wayne home is truly as unique as the owners themselves.
The Rules
The rules for entry were simple: Take some pictures of your customized features in your home, and send them to us, along with the story behind them. The photos were posted on Facebook, and whoever got the most “likes” won either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place, earning a $1,000, $500 or $250 Home Depot gift card, respectively. We also offered a “People’s Choice” award, which earned a $500 Home Depot gift card. There was no shortage of entries, and we loved seeing what you’d done with your Wayne home! From gourmet kitchens to sunrooms, we were blown away by the finishing touches that reflected our homeowners’ standout style.
The Winners
The winners of the contest were as varied as the customizations they photographed, but every one was carefully planned and beautifully executed.
1st Place – Jeremy & Megan Kiger for their gorgeous chef’s kitchen. Family is very important to the Kigers, which is why they wanted a large kitchen where they could also entertain. “They say that the kitchen is the heart of the home, and it truly is in our home.”
2nd Place – Mike & Billie Jo Moyer for their finished basement with all the trimmings. Mike said, “My wife and I built our Savannah in 2011 and did not finish the basement right away. We finished it earlier this year – after we had time to determine exactly what we wanted to do with it.” And what did they want to do with it? Well, make it a multitasking play room/bar area/home theater, of course! This room is definitely a family favorite.
3rd Place – Stephanie Vanderheyden for her well-designed kitchen. With delightfully unexpected finishing touches, such as her copper farmhouse sink and her gray appliances, Stephanie’s kitchen wows.
People’s Choice – Roger Smith for his light-infused sunroom. Roger said he loves all the light in this sunroom. “The custom sunroom with additional windows allows a lot of natural light flowing into the room with every view being the best view!” We couldn’t agree more.
These proud homeowners were rewarded with Home Depot gift cards, with which we are sure they will further beautify their Wayne homes.
