Color of the Year and Trend Forecast

This year has been challenging to say the least, but if you’re building or updating a new home in 2021, there’s a lot to look forward to…starting with paint color trends. Sherwin Williams has released their Color of the Year for 2021, and it is Urbane Bronze! The color that Sherwin Williams recommends pairing Urbane Bronze with is Modern Gray, which is one of Wayne Homes’ new included paint colors.
Wayne Homes customers can use these two colors for an accent or feature wall. Both Urbane Bronze and Modern Gray pair beautifully with metals and woods in your interior decor.
Looking ahead at color trends, the Sherwin Williams Color Forecast calls for four-color palettes that embody the theme of “rhythm”. Forty trend colors are presented in four palettes designed to bring your own rendition of rhythm to your beautiful life. We especially love the Sanctuary color palette, which
showcases colors from nature. Included colors from this palette include Modern Gray and Morris Room Grey. These two “new neutrals” are both earthy and edgy, creating a timeless statement in your home.
The other 2021 color trend palettes include:
- Encounter–The rich but muted hues in this palette convey that heritage quality and the value of simple, meaningful experiences.
- Continuum–This mid-century modern inspired palette features white, charcoal and pops of color.
- Tapestry–The vibrancy of this palette, including lavish pinks and greens, finds inspiration in classicism, but with just a touch of cutting edge.
