Modern muted paint colors have remained popular, no matter the fad or trend. In fact, some of the most trendy paint colors right now are–you guessed it–neutral and muted!

Today’s muted paint colors are fresh and classic and can be the perfect paint color choice for your new Wayne home.

Which Color to Choose?
White, beige and gray are all popular muted paint colors, but within those colors, there are hundreds of shades available. So, where do you begin? Decide the vibe you are going for in each room. Are you looking for light and airy? We are seeing a lot of homes with all white walls throughout, which is a way to deliver a fresh look that creates a sense of spaciousness. However, be careful which shade of white you choose. A little warmth can make expansive white walls more inviting than a true white. The great news is that Wayne Homes has curated some of the best neutrals in our Included Paint Color Palette, so you don’t have to worry about accidentally selecting a gray that has violet undertones or blah, muddy beiges.
Paint and Pricing
Remember, your home doesn’t have to be painted all the same color. While we offer one color choice for walls, and one color choice for trim as an included feature, additional colors can be added. A note about darker shades: these cost more because sometimes different primer or extra coats of primer are needed, and extra coats of paint can be required.
All the Trimmings
Don’t forget about trim color. Even if you choose a similar color for the trim as the wall, a difference in finish will give it a subtle “pop”. Walls are typically painted with a flat paint, and trim is semi-gloss, so there will naturally be a variation between the two. A few colors that homeowners love for trim instead of white is Dover White or even gray for something different. These are unexpected and a modern twist on your classic white trim.
