Wayne Homes is all about the journey to your ideal home, and nothing says welcome home like beautiful landscaping. Whether it’s a pop of color in your front flower beds or a zen-like retreat in the back of your home, landscaping is more than just good looks–it’s good living.
We want to celebrate how you’re living the good life in your Wayne home by inviting all Wayne homeowners to enter the 13th Annual Wayne Homes Landscape Contest!
You don’t have to be a seasoned gardener to enter the 2023 Wayne Homes Landscape Contest. We’re inviting all of our valued Wayne homeowners–from first-timers to green-thumb garden enthusiasts–to enter the contest. Simple, well-tended front-yard flower beds can wow every bit as much as a full-on garden oasis, so remember…every entry counts. Don’t know where to start? Check out our handy Landscaping 101 Guide.
Here are some easy tips to get started:
- Start small–some beautiful pops of color or greenery will go a long way! It doesn’t take a lot to have a big impact.
- Choose a focal point–maybe a fire pit, or a pergola, then grow from there. Add hardscapes, chairs, and more.
- Decide how you want to spend time in your landscape–are you an al fresco chef? Then design your landscape around the grill! Maybe you want to watch the world go by…try a porch swing surrounded by hanging baskets.
Once you’ve put in the work, let us give you the recognition you deserve for your landscaping efforts!
The 2023 Wayne Homes Landscape Contest will run from May 22 – July 6.
Winners will be announced on July 11, and we have some great prizes to award! Winners will receive a Lowe’s gift card: $1,000 for first place, $500 for second and $250 for third. Plus, you have a chance to win the People’s Choice Award, with the prize of a $500 gift card!
You can also help us find the People’s Choice winner by visiting our Facebook page (you have to like us for your vote to count!) and choosing your favorite, once the contest opens May 22. Photos of entries will be posted to the Wayne Homes Facebook page on Mondays and Thursday each week, so stay tuned!
Let your green thumb lead the way! Got a killer herb garden? A friendly front porch lined with flowers? Or maybe it’s a pool hardscape that has the neighbors green with envy. No matter what you decide to do, be sure to submit those stunning digital photos on the contest page (no photoshop or editing please!) by July 6.

Past winners aren’t eligible to win again, but if you have entered before and haven’t placed, there’s no reason not to give it another go! So, bust out your bulbs and seeds, grab your gardening gloves and get ready to show us what you’re made of. May the best yard win!
