It’s that time of year again, one we look forward to all year long here at Wayne Homes. It’s time for our Wayne Homes Annual Halloween Costume Contest, now in its 6th year!
If you’ve participated in year’s past, you know the drill. For those who haven’t, though, here’s the idea:
Step 1: Come up with the absolute best costume idea you can, whether it’s just for your kids or a theme for the entire family.
Step 2: Strike a pose! Gather up the kids (and any costumed adults too!) and have them pose for a couple of digital photos documenting your awesome outfits.
Step 3: Send them to us at halloween@waynehomes.com by our deadline of November 7. We’ll share them on our Wayne Homes facebook page, and announce the winners on November 9. The sooner you send them in, though, the better!
Prizes for winners include gift cards to Toys R Us as well as Best Buy, so there’s something for everyone, no matter their age or interests.
Struggling coming up with ideas? Here are a few suggestions to get your creative juices flowing:
- Take a cue from Disney and have your little ones dress up as their favorite Disney character, from the classic Minnie and Mickey Mouse to Dory or Queen Elsa.
- Look to your pantry for inspiration. Consider dressing your kids up as their favorite food, from spaghetti and meatballs to a donut or their favorite soft drink.
- Throw it back to classic movie days. There’s an endless amount of inspiration to be found in movies like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, and more.
- Think big, and look to your kids’ heroes for inspiration. Everyone loves a classic fireman, doctor, police officer or professional athlete costume.
- Keep ensemble ideas in mind. Classic family costume ideas include the crew from Scooby Do, the Flintstones, a gang of robbers, a musical group, and lots more.
Whatever you decide to do, keep it creative, keep it fun, and be sure to send us your pictures so you can be entered to win a whole host of great prizes.
