2022 Wayne Homes Landscape Contest Winners

The 2022 winners of the Wayne Homes Landscape Contest are in! As always, it was a tough job choosing the finalists. Every year, we receive so many beautiful entries into the Wayne Homes Landscape Contest. We loved seeing how you customized your Wayne homes with your landscaping ideas. Whether it was killer curb appeal, or a relaxing al fresco dining area, you brought your A-game, and it showed. Thank you to everyone who entered this year’s Wayne Homes Landscape Contest.

We look forward to this contest every year because we get to admire all of your hard work in your beautiful yards, and this year was no different. We know that your yard is really just an extension of your Wayne home, and we love to see how your passion and personality extend outward for the world to enjoy. There’s no denying that landscaping is what really makes your home a true retreat, especially this time of year. From pops of color with fragrant flowers to the perfect patio, here are the 2022 Wayne Homes Landscape Contest Winners.

1st place winner:

• Mary & James Davis from Alexandria, Ohio
• Built an Alexandria Classic customized with farmhouse elements
• These lucky 1st place winners were the recipients of a $1,000 Lowe’s gift card!
• What the Wayne Homes judges loved about their landscaping: “This landscape has a vibrant and cohesive vision. The variation of landscaping, vibrant colors, and pops of color against the white siding create amazing contrast and a cohesive vision for their outdoor space. The farmhouse style is featured throughout, from the exterior of the home to the landscape design and style.”

2nd place winner:

• Steven & Judy Bishop from Sunbury, Ohio
• Built an Alexandria Craftsman
• The Bishops scored a $500 Lowe’s gift card!
• What the Wayne Homes judges loved about their landscaping: Visual stunner. “This landscape has lots of variation in the height of the plants and richness of colors. You can really see the care and intention they put into the vision for the landscaping.”

3rd place winner:

• Larry & Beth Souslin from Thornville, Ohio
• Built a Montgomery Craftsman
• The Souslins were the happy recipients of a $250 Lowe’s gift card!
• What the Wayne Homes judges loved about their landscaping: “Larry and Beth have a well thought out patio space, where the landscaping ties the patio area into the overall property, creating a welcoming outdoor living space.”

People’s Choice winner:

• Adam & Laura Duncan from Butler, Pennsylvania
• Built a Franklin Legacy
• The Duncan’s were the happy recipients of a $500 Lowe’s gift card!
• The People’s Choice Award is a special award for the photo entry that received the most likes on Facebook. The Duncan’s use of landscape stone, a variety of trees and plants with a sloping lot all inspired their friends and family to award them the People’s Choice Award.
