When a model home sells or needs refreshed, many homebuilders sell the furniture to make a profit from cleaning out the model for the incoming family. We choose to give back to the community by donating this good-as-new designer furniture and available building materials.
Partnering with Habitat for Humanity
Wayne Homes knows the importance of giving back. We are proud to have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to donate items from the Bowling Green Savannah model. Habitat for Humanity of Wood County is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization. Working in partnership with people in need, Habitat for Humanity builds and renovates decent, affordable housing. The houses then are sold to those in need at no profit and with no interest charged.
Everything Plus the Kitchen Sink
As a corporate donor, we provide materials to Habitat for Humanity to finish and furnish these homes. There are a wide variety of items from the home that will be going to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore. We are donating furniture and building materials, such as cabinets, trim, doors, windows, siding, water heaters and more. We like to say that we are donating everything plus the kitchen sink!
Connected to the Community
Wayne Homes has maintained an ongoing relationship with Habitat for Humanity and is happy to provide these materials and barely-used furniture to a good cause. We can’t think of a more worthy or appropriate organization to benefit from Wayne’s success. When you are considering building a custom home, see if the homebuilders are involved in the community. Giving back to the communities we serve is just another way Wayne Homes stays connected to the surrounding areas and our homeowners.
