‘Tis the season of giving, and at Wayne Homes, giving back is just part of who we are. One of our company hallmarks is giving back to the communities we serve. And who better to give to during the holidays than children? There’s simply no better way to see the holidays than through the wonder of a child’s eyes. At Wayne Homes, we believe every child deserves to have the happiest of holidays, and that’s why we’ve chosen to partner once again with Toys for Tots.

Toys for Tots began in 1947 as the brain child of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks. Actually, it was his wife, Diane, who was the real inspiration. She had a few handcrafted dolls and asked Bill to deliver them to an agency that supports children in need. Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.

Again this year, Wayne Homes will be giving back by collecting monetary and toy donations to support Toys for Tots. Each of our Model Home Centers will serve as a site to drop off donations to support this cause. From now until December 7th, 2022, customers can stop by one of our Model Home Sales Centers to donate unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We love seeing all of your friendly faces and getting to catch up with our Wayne family. Remember, this is open to the community, so please invite your friends to join us! You can make it your own tradition to visit us and donate to this worthy cause.

Last year, Wayne Homes raised more than $10,000 for local kids through the toy drive and fundraiser.

Wayne Homes Gives Back with Toys for Tots

We’re proud to partner with Toys for Tots every year, but this year, we’re going one step further. In addition to our donations to Toys for Tots we will also be supporting the following selected charities:

Wounded Warrior Project
St Jude
American Humane Society
Feeding America Food Banks (Ohio, WV, MI & PA)
Habitat for Humanity

For every sale during the month of December, the new homeowner will get to select one of the five charities listed above and then Wayne Homes will donate $500 to that charity.
