Wayne Homes Partners with Toys for Tots for 2021

It’s the most wonderful time of the year. The holidays!

We were so proud of the way our community came together last year for Toys for Tots. We’re excited to participate in the drive again this year! Stop by a model center before Dec. 4 to donate a new, unwrapped toy!

And there’s simply no better way to see the holidays than through the wonder of a child’s eyes. At Wayne Homes, we believe every child deserves to have the happiest of holidays, and that’s why we’ve chosen to partner once again with Toys for Tots.

The mission of the Toys for Tots Program is to collect new unwrapped toys and distribute those toys to less fortunate children at Christmas. Started in 1947 as the brainchild of Marine Corps Reserve Major Bill Hendricks, he and his wife Diane delivered handmade dolls to children in need. Now, Toys for Tots has grown to deliver an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.

At Wayne Homes, we are thrilled to rally together to gather toy donations for children in the communities we serve.

From now until Friday, December 4, 2021, customers can stop by one of our 10 model centers to donate unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots. We love seeing all of your friendly faces and getting to catch up with our Wayne family. Remember, this is open to the community, so please invite your friends to join us! You can make it your own tradition to visit us and donate to this worthy cause.

And, because it’s for a good cause, the Wayne Homes team will be participating in some healthy competition. Our employees at both the home office and model centers will be participating in the toy drive by bringing in toys and competing to see which departments/offices can bring in the most toys.

Last year, Wayne Homes raised almost $9,000 for local kids through the toy drive and fundraiser.
