Raving Fan of the Month: Meet the Hammersmiths

This month we are featuring Jennifer and Dave Hammersmith, who built their Brentwood Farmhouse with us early in 2020.

Jennifer and Dave worked with our Sandusky office. Melanie Ritz was their New Home Consultant and Lee Roberts was their Field Manager. Let’s hear more about their story!

Why did you choose Wayne Homes as your builder?

We looked for already-built houses on the market and couldn’t find what would fit our needs. We reviewed house plans and the Brentwood stood out to us. We had our first meeting with Melanie at the Sandusky office and had an immediate connection.

What’s your favorite feature or room?

Just one? That’s tough! We love our luxury vinyl plank floor, Pella windows, knockdown ceilings, and our owner’s bathroom.

What would you tell a friend about Wayne Homes?

We made lifelong friends during the building process. The quality and attention to detail are beyond what I have seen with other builders. The team is patient and helped answer all our questions.

What was the best part of building your Wayne home?

There are so many to pick from! Wayne Homes is dog friendly and our fuzzy family members joined us for the process. We made lifelong friends. Being able to watch the progress each day was incredible, and the team at Wayne Homes was as excited as we were. Of course, the ultimate highlight was getting the keys to a home that’s perfect for us!

How would you describe your style? Warm and traditional? Cool and contemporary? Funky and eclectic? Rustic Farmhouse? Craftsman Lodge? Something else?

Boho modern farmhouse.

What would you add to your home if money were no object?

A third garage bay or a matching barn.
