Wayne Homes, an Ohio-based custom home builder that specializes in on-your-lot homes, has announced the Grand Opening of the company’s newest Craftsman-style model home this weekend in Portage County.

Ohio-based custom home builder Wayne Homes has announced the Grand Opening of a new Craftsman-style Winchester model home this weekend in Portage County. The model home will feature nearly 4,000 square feet of living space and a Craftsman exterior design. According to Wayne Homes President George Murphy, the new model home represents the company’s commitment to home design that accommodates the changing needs of modern families.

“We’re very excited about our Winchester Craftsman model home because it showcases some of the features we hear families tell us they want most in a new home. The plan includes a main level master suite with his and her walk-in closets, a spacious gourmet kitchen with walk-in pantry, and a secondary upstairs bedroom with private bath that’s ideal for multigenerational families,” said Murphy.

The Grand Opening event will be held at the company’s Portage County Model Home Centerlocated at 4327 State Road 14 in Ravenna, Ohio. The 2-day event will be held on Saturday, March 8th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, March 9th from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.

During the event visitors can tour the model home, which was furnished and merchandised by Kim Trautman of Trautman Interiors in Findlay, Ohio. The Portage County Marketing and Merchandising Excellence Awards recently recognized Trautman for her interior design work on the company’s popularMcAllister model home. According to Wayne Homes Vice President of Marketing Maurie Jones, the partnership provides families with lots of inspiration to design their own dream home.

“We are seeing more and more families look for larger homes that can accommodate multiple life stages. Custom homes give families a nearly unlimited number of customization options to provide a home that feels perfect for every life stage: from toddlers to teens to twilight years. We believe that the design of our new Winchester model, in combination with Kim Trautman’s design, will showcase a whole new world of possibility for families who visit,” said Jones.
