Custom home builder, Wayne Homes has announced the winners of their ninth annual homeowner landscape contest.
Uniontown, OH – Summer is the time of year to get out of your home and enjoy the warm weather. Whether you are hosting a backyard barbecue, jumping in the pool, or enjoying a relaxing evening by the fire, nothing completes the perfect picture like beautiful landscaping.
The warm weather and outdoor activities make it the perfect time of year for a landscape contest. From a perfectly manicured front yard to a custom patio and pond, building with Wayne Homes means you get what you want, inside and out. We are proud to announce this year’s contest winners!
First Place
Kevin and Teri Moats – McAllister Family – Wadsworth, Ohio
Kevin and Teri clenched first place in the contest with tidy, clean and well-appointed landscaping on the front, rear, and side of their home, as well as in the driveway.
Second Place
Fred and Johanna Toma – Washington Custom – Marblehead, Ohio
Fred and Johanna’s Lake Erie home won second place in the contest with their stunning rock work, colorful blooming flowers, and Adirondack chairs by the fire pit.
Third Place
Gregory and Jackie Stockmaster – Providence Classic – New Washington, OH
Gregory and Jackie Stockmaster took the 3rd place prize in the contest with luscious plants and evergreens and stone accents around their home.
“We have designed our landscaping to captivate the slope of our lot and the design of our Providence,” Jackie said. “Large boulders were brought in to help hold the dirt in place. A pavered wall was added to assist with the drop off from the landscaping to the driveway. The paver colors were chosen to compliment the colors of our home and knockout roses, daisys, daylilys, holly and evergreens were chosen to ensure lots of color all year long.”
People’s Choice
David and Courtney Ricciardella – Wilmington Family – Butler, OH
Finally, David and Courtney’s perfectly manicured yard and river rock walkway won the people’s choice award with 94 Facebook likes.
“We moved into our home in March of 2017 and quickly went to work planning our landscaping for our new home,” David said. “Although our landscaping is relatively young and small we decided to enter the contest because of how beautiful our home looks this year from the lawn to the bushes, trees, and plants.”
