Wayne Homes has announced the promotion of Kelly Sumey as Human Resources Manager.
Uniontown, OH – Ohio-based custom home builder, Wayne Homes, has announced the promotion of Kelly Sumey as the new Human Resources Manager.
Sumey joined Wayne Homes as Human Resources Coordinator in 2013 and has been an integral part of benefits administration, payroll, and assisting in the hiring and training of employees. In her new position, Sumey will take on additional responsibilities and lead the hiring and recruiting programs, as well as the training and development programs.
“Kelly’s previous experience as our Human Resources Coordinator, as well as a strong background in employment law, made her an easy choice to lead our future initiatives in employee benefit programs and continuing to strengthen the training and development of our employees,” Todd Brown, Chief Financial Officer, said.
Sumey graduated from Stark State College in 2007 with an associate’s degree in business and paralegal studies and from Malone University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in organizational management. Before joining Wayne Homes, Sumey worked as an Ohio State Bar Association certified paralegal at a law firm in Cleveland.
“I am looking forward to developing our training programs further and working on recruiting and hiring top talent to strengthen our current teams,” Sumey said. “There are so many reasons I am proud to work at Wayne Homes, but our people would be my top answer. They are all amazingly talented and to say I get to help build those teams means the world to me.”
She and her husband, Anthony, currently reside in Wadsworth, Ohio with their children, Anthony and Grace.
