Wayne Homes Attends 2017 Innovation Summit in Denver

May 12, 2017

Custom homebuilder Wayne Homes team members attended the 2017 Housing Innovation Alliance Innovation Summit.

Uniontown, OH – Last month, the Housing Innovation Alliance held their semi-annual Innovation Summit at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver, CO. Wayne Homes team members George Murphy, President, and Maurie Jones, Vice President of Marketing, attended the conference.

The mission of the Housing Innovation Alliance is to foster collaborative innovation, idea sharing and relationship building around topics in the housing industry. Attendees participated in a number of discussions, exchanging ideas and insights.

Among the topics that were discussed were, evolving household dynamics affecting housing design, construction, and sale; new and improved finance and data driver business models; offsite construction and robotics in response to labor shortages and housing affordability; and cutting edge technology entering the industry.

“Learning more about our customer and what they are looking for in a new home is always an extremely valuable experience,” Jones said. “This conference allows us to talk to other builders and business leaders across the country who are working through the same industry challenges, like affordability, labor shortages, and technology.”
