Wayne Homes has announced the results of their 50/50 Program, a promotion designed to promote the Ohio-based custom home builder’s energy efficient designs.
The builder reports that 47 homeowners participated in the program that originally ran in 2011. Buyers who purchased a home for the 50 day period between January 28th, 2011 and March 18th, 2011 were eligible for a reimbursement for energy costs that exceeded an average of $50 per month. The builder contacted homeowners in recent months to collect energy bills and extend reimbursements.
Rosalind Speakman, a Wayne Homes customer who participated in the promotion when she built her home last year, received a little over $2,000 in reimbursements. This enabled her to invest in a new awning for the back of her home, further increasing long-term energy savings.
“We were delighted by the original response and with the results of our energy efficient homes at the end of the year-long program. The promotion offered families additional savings and peace of mind in the first year of ownership, and gave us an opportunity to promote our commitment to responsible building practices and creating value for our customers,” says Vice President of Marketing Maurie Jones.
