The Different Faces of the Stanton
Are you ready to live large?
The Stanton is Wayne Homes’ largest ranch plan, but it’s more than square footage that makes this home special. It’s what it can accommodate. For example, the home welcomes big parties with a spacious, open kitchen, and great room. The Stanton’s dual kitchen islands make entertaining even easier. And when the party is over, you can escape to your owner suite retreat. It has two (yes two) big walk-in closets. And three secondary bedrooms are positioned directly opposite the owner suite for big-time privacy.
The Stanton at a Glance:
- 4 bedrooms
- 2.5 bathrooms
- 2,689 square feet
- Available exteriors: Classic, Craftsman, Farmhouse, Tradition
Another big part of what makes the Stanton floor plan so great is that it is easily customizable. Like all of Wayne’s floor plans, you can personalize everything from the exterior to the layout of your home. That’s what we do!
You’re invited to view all the different faces of the Stanton to see how these different Stanton floor plans are from one another. While there are obvious differences, one thing remains the same: the Stanton is big on style.
Stanton Classic (with stone/Craftsman features added)
This Stanton Classic is classically beautiful. With a covered front porch, Craftsman details, and stone exterior features, it has a lot of curb appeal.
Customizations this homeowner made:
- Reversed the plan (garage is now on the left when facing the front of the home).
- Added a covered front porch with additional gable above the front door.
- Added Craftsman porch columns (tapered columns with stone bases) flanking the front door.
- Changed the window grids to prairie style (top half only) instead of the traditional grids. This is an included feature! There is no additional cost to change the grid style on the front windows of your home.
- Added a 3rd bay to the garage.
- Changed the garage door panel style to Sonoma, which is also an included garage door panel style.
- Added windows to the garage doors.
- Added garage door hardware to both garage doors.
- Changed the front door to a woodgrained fiberglass door with glass.
- Removed the included louvered style shutters and added 3-1/2″ trim around the front windows.
- Added stone wainscoting across the front of the garage and front bedroom.
- Changed the gable vent style (above the main garage door) to be rectangular.
- Added Greek returns at the gables on the front of the home.
Stanton Tradition (with farmhouse elements)
The Stanton Tradition brings an estate-style look to the exterior of the home. This homeowner made some changes to add a Farmhouse flair to it.
Customizations this homeowner made:
- Added a shed roof above the overhead garage door.
- Changed the garage door panel style to a carriage-style garage door.
- Added windows to the garage door as well as decorative garage door hardware.
- Changed the lighting on the front of the home to farmhouse style lighting.
- Added three dormers on the front of the home.
- Changed to dual color Pella 250 series windows (black exterior, white interior).
- T-single cross window grids on front windows.
- Separated the windows on the front of the home (no longer mulled).
- Elongated the windows on the front of the home to be 6′ tall.
- Increased the pitch of the gable and dormers on the front of the home to 10:12.
- Extended the front porch across the entire front of the home which removed the gable above the front bedroom.
- Changed to woodgrained front porch posts with brackets.
- White board and batten siding replacing included horizontal siding on the front of the home to add that farmhouse charm.
- Changed front door and sidelites to woodgrained fiberglass options with glass.
Stanton Tradition with 3-car Garage
- Customizations this homeowner made:
- Increased the depth of the front porch out to be aligned with the front wall of the garage – this widens the gable to extend across the front of the garage as well as the front porch.
- Added a 3rd bay to the garage.
- Added windows to the garage doors.
- Added Craftsman-style trim to the top of the windows on the front of the dining room and den/flex.
- Prairie-style window grids (instead of traditional window grids) at front windows. This is an included feature!
- Changed to contrasting board and batten siding in the gables on the front of the home.
