Featured Raving Fan of the Month: Meet the Smiths

Raving Fans are our biggest supporters.

Customers who have become homeowners, then who have become friends. When you build a home together, you spend a lot of time with each other, and we don’t expect to just say goodbye after the home is done. We keep in touch with our homeowners because once you’ve built with Wayne, you’re family!

This month we are featuring Bert and Michelle Smith, who built a Montgomery Family with our Portage team in 2019. Bert and Michelle live in Wadsworth, Ohio.

Why did you choose Wayne Homes as your builder?

We chose Wayne because there were lots of floor plan options to choose from. We loved that there were tons of model homes to see and that we had the ability to tour homes that were under construction. We also appreciated the flexibility with the floor plan. We could move walls and tweak the plan to our needs at no cost.

What’s your favorite feature or room?

The openness of the great room and vinyl floors.

What would you tell a friend about Wayne Homes?

Wayne homes is easy to work with. They are very responsive and help you all the way through the process. The floor plans are flexible and you can visit so many model homes to get a feel for the space. Excellent customer service.

Sara Judge and Zach Miller. Zach was great! He was on top of it.

What was the best part of building your Wayne home?:

We enjoyed the process. No doubt it’s a stressful process, but Wayne Homes made it easy.

How would you describe your style? Warm and traditional? Cool and contemporary? Funky and eclectic? Rustic Farmhouse? Craftsman Lodge? Something else?:

Our style is a mix of traditional and rustic farmhouse.

What would you add to your home if money were no object?:

I would add screens to my covered porch, and I would add beams to the ceiling in my great room.
