Wayne Homes, an Ohio-based custom home builder, announced they raised money for over 50 charities through the company’s annual Random Acts of Kindness campaign.
Uniontown, OH – Wayne Homes, a company that specializes in on-your-lot custom homes, announced that they collected supplies and donated on behalf of their customers to benefit over 50 charities during the company’s Random Acts of Kindness campaign.
The teams from each of Wayne Homes’ nine Model Home Centers chose a local charity to sponsor. During the campaign, which took place over the holidays, the teams collected toys, clothing, food, personal care items, pet supplies and more from employees, partners, customers, and visitors.
“Our Random Acts of Kindness program has been the highlight of Wayne Homes’ charitable contributions for the past seven years. Our employees and partners give back to their communities in countless ways throughout the year, as I’m sure our customers do, but the collaborative effort we see throughout our Model Home Centers during the holiday season is inspiring,” says President of Wayne Homes, George Murphy.
In addition to having been donation centers, for every new contract that was signed during the holiday season the company donated $150 to a charity of the customer’s choice. Donations were made on behalf of customers to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, American Alzheimer’s Association, American Heart Association, Wounded Warrior Project, and Toys for Tots among many others. According to Maurie Jones, vice president of marketing, their customers’ ability to choose their own charity is what makes this program such a success.
“We had nearly 100 families participate in our Random Acts of Kindness program this past holiday season. We’re proud to donate to causes that our customers are passionate about. In turn, we have found that our customers are excited to give back to the communities in which they plan to build a home,” says Jones.
